It's All About That Fruit Base!

June 13, 2015 The Gersamé Table

What you'll need:

For the base:

1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour

1/4 cup sugar

2 sticks of butter, melted

1 tsp. baking powder

 

Preparation:

Mix all ingredients and make a dough.

Place in a 9x9 inch pan, distribute nice and evenly.

Place in refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Thereafter bake at 350 °F for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

In another bowl, mix blackberries and raspberries (or fruits of your choice) with 1/4 cup sugar and place in refrigerator until ready to eat. 

Take the base and cut into squares.When ready to serve, place fruit on each square and top it off with some powdered sugar (above picture) or with a dollop of whipped cream. 

Voila!

We ate this sweet treat on a cool, crispy afternoon in the garden with friends and family. An easy recipe on a perfect day !
