After a long hiatus (college...ugh) I have come home to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family. While the turkey roasts in the oven, turning golden brown, all the warmth and laughter and the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade plays on the tv in the background. Mom and I prepare the rest of the food, from the cranberry sauce that tops off the turkey, to the grilled sweet potatoes and the homestyle baked beans. The smells all come together, making the house truly a home.
Coming home for Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of the year because everything is all about family. That is what I am thankful for too. Without my family, I would not be who I am today. They have taught me to be myself. They have taught me that sometimes you won't get your way, but that that's ok because all things work for good. What are you thankful for?
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!
